Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown

Tab Trade — What It Is

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.

His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should make the platform set once it is live.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits beginners.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it depends on you.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
